Wallace PD and surrounding agencies brought in the 2010 New Year with a DWI Checkpoint.
The checkpoint had the NC Governor's Highway Safety B.A.T. Mobile on site, which allows for the
processing of DWI's by providing Intoxilizer's and a Magistrate's Office.  The checkpoint produced
only 3 DWI's, but in excess of sixty traffic citations.  Wallace PD has plans for many of these
throughout the year in various places around town, so remember....Don't Drink and Drive or
you may Booze It and Lose It.




Seized contraband from a search warrant at 139 Pearsall St.

    
Two firearms were located at 139 Pearsall St., one on a suspect within the residence at the time of warrant execution and one located within the console of a vehicle located on the property.  Both firearms were reported stolen by Onslow County Sheriff's Office and Jacksonville Police Department.


     
House raided at 114 Maple St.  Gang activity, as well as a handgun, was
located in the mailbox by officers responding to a shots fired call.
